Bea's Big Steps

Bea sits happily on the soft, cosy rug, surrounded by her favourite soft toys and fluffy cushions. She reaches up with both little hands and grips the edge of the low wooden table.

Up, up, up she pulls herself, tiny legs wobbling with excitement and gentle effort. Her tiny toes wobble and wiggle as she carefully finds her steady balance.

Slowly, carefully, she lets go of the table with one small, brave hand.

Bea looks across the warm, sunny living room, her eyes wide and curious.

She takes one little step forward, wobbly but oh so proud of herself.

Then she takes another little step, tiny arms held out for balance.

Someone kneels close by on the soft rug, arms open wide and waiting.

Bea toddles forward, giggling softly, and tumbles gently into the big warm hug.
